About Us

At Springhill Beef Co, we’re more than just a farm and butchery—we’re a family-driven business built on passion, hard work, and a commitment to quality. Founded by Adam and Jody Turner, alongside our three children, we have dedicated ourselves to producing premium, regeneratively farmed Angus beef that is not only delicious but also nurtures the land for future generations.

Our Journey

We weren’t born into farming. As a first-generation cattle business, we started with a vision: to build a sustainable and profitable enterprise that could withstand the unpredictable nature of agriculture—weather extremes, market volatility, and external pressures beyond our control. From the very beginning, we sought to take charge of what we could control, developing a business model that prioritizes soil health, animal welfare, and premium beef production.

Like many small producers, we started with a few leased paddocks and a dream. But it was a pivotal moment—when Adam faced serious health challenges due to a stressful off-farm career—that pushed us to rethink everything. We made a conscious decision to step away from an industry that drained us and lean into what truly fulfilled us: farming. With extensive training in regenerative agriculture, holistic grazing, and business management, we transformed our approach.

At Springhill, we believe in thinking inside the box—focusing on the tools, skills, and resources we already have to create opportunities. This philosophy has driven us to grow from a small cattle operation to a thriving paddock-to-plate enterprise.

From Paddock to Plate

Regenerative agriculture is at the heart of everything we do. Our cattle graze on nutrient-rich, multi-species pastures without synthetic fertilizers or chemicals. By improving soil health and practicing rotational grazing, we ensure our livestock are raised ethically, naturally, and with the highest level of care. This results in beef that is healthier, tastier, and better for the environment.

To bring our customers the best possible product, we took control of the entire process—breeding, raising, butchering, and selling our own beef. In 2022, we purchased Springhill Butchery in Singleton, allowing us to maintain quality from start to finish. Whether you visit our retail shop, order online, or enjoy our beef at a local restaurant, you’re getting a product that embodies integrity, craftsmanship, and care.

Our Values

At Springhill Beef Co, we stand for:

The Springhill Way

100% Grass Fed

Our cattle are all raised on Springhill property, located on the banks of the pristine Paterson river and at the foothills of the Barrington Tops national park near Gresford in the Hunter Valley Nsw.

Clean, Healthy Food

At Springhill, we take a holistic approach to raising our cattle, ensuring they grow naturally and thrive in a low-stress environment. Our focus is on producing the highest quality beef while prioritizing the health and well-being of our animals. That’s why we choose not to use hormones, antibiotics, or unnecessary vaccines in our production. Instead, we rely on strong genetics, nutrient-rich pastures, and regenerative farming practices to support our herd’s natural immunity and vitality. By working with nature rather than against it, we can provide our customers with clean, wholesome, and truly natural beef—raised with care from our paddock to your plate.

Regenerative Farming

At Springhill, we believe that the best beef comes from healthy land. That’s why we use regenerative farming practices—working in harmony with nature to build soil health, increase biodiversity, and create thriving pastures for our cattle. By carefully managing our grazing, we allow the land time to regenerate, improving soil carbon and water retention so that every season is more productive than the last. For our customers, this means nutrient-dense, flavourful beef raised in a way that supports the environment, future generations, and the animals themselves. When you choose Springhill, you’re not just enjoying premium-quality beef—you’re supporting a farming system that restores the land and nurtures life.
